Terminology database for the use of the Czech chairmanship in the Council of the European Union 2009 is a database which includes and unifies multilingual terms from the Czech state administration.

This article identifies some of the current challenges and activities in definiton of Open Access from the perspective of library and information science. It puts forward the view that it is high time the library and information world adopted a standard, defensible and integrated terminology. The author explores the role of methods, approaches and occasions for terminology integration in the area of Open Access. New ways to define the Open Access phenomenon in Czech library terminology are sought - the author attepmts to provoke debate about this topic.

In the article we present SPOT – a new on-line dictionary of computer terminology. SPOT’s web platform is adaptable to any language and/or field. We hope that SPOT will become an open platform for discussing controversial computer terms (and their translations into Czech) among professionals. The resulting on-line computer dictionary is freely available to the general public, university teachers, students, editors and professional translators. The dictionary includes some novel features, such as presenting translated terms used in several different contexts – a feature highly appreciated namely by users lacking technical knowledge for deciding which of the dictionary terms being offered should be used.

The project solved within a research design of Occupational Safety Research Institute called „Knowledge management - a condition of successful BOZP management“ is focused on information level rising. Within this project we develop so-called resource base BOZPsafe. Its aim is to integrate and connect various information sources into unified complex and to simplify the access of users to these sources. The resource base serves as a support for formation of the scale of information services and products - professional portals, education, and research.

This article identifies some of the current challenges and activities in definiton of document delivery services and electronic document delivery from the perspective of library and information science. It puts forward the view that it is high time the library and information world adopted a standard, defensible and integrated terminology. The author explores the role of interlibrary loans and other library services, on the occasion of terminology document delivery services. There are searching new choices for define of DDS, EDD, etc., and the author attempts to provoke debate about this topic.
